Facial Palsy – NovoTHOR Interview

Steve came to LTS (https://www.lightbed.com.au) to seek treatment for his Ramsay Hunt – facial nerve palsy as a result of shingles (Herpes Zoster reactivation). Using a combination of lasers treatments and lightbed sessions he felt improvement almost immediately.

Steve was suffering from postherpetic neuralgia. Before treatment started he was only able to sleep 2 hours a night but after a week he was sleeping through the night; after two weeks he no longer had a pain at the back of his neck; after three weeks he had much more facial movement.

One of the other side-benefits that he noticed was the improvement to his chronic back pain. While it took many months of treatment to finally regain full mobility of his facial movement, he continues to use the lightbed to help keep himself active and comfortable.
